Selpida Ginting, 222363007, Strategic Planning Using SWOT Analysis and Value Chain Method at the Environmental and Forestry Law Enforcement and Security Agency for Region I Sumatra.
The Environmental and Forestry Law Enforcement and Security Agency for Sumatra Region is a Technical Implementing Unit that supports the duties and functions of the Directorate General of Environmental and Forestry Law Enforcement, Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia. To achieve the objectives of the duties and functions of the Environmental and Forestry Law Enforcement and Security Agency, particularly in Region I Sumatra, it is necessary to design strategic planning by considering the factors of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats through SWOT analysis and the Value Chain. The analysis results show that in facing external threats, the Environmental and Forestry Law Enforcement and Security Agency for Region I Sumatra possesses internal strengths that can be developed to achieve the objectives of its duties and functions. This can be done by establishing/revising regulations in line with environmental and forestry interests, optimizing the use of existing facilities to reach difficult-to-access locations, enhancing cooperation with law enforcement and the judiciary in resolving environmental and forestry issues, conducting regular supervision and monitoring involving the community, and coordinating and collaborating with district/city law enforcement.
