The rapid development of technology has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including the small and medium business sector such as the laundry business which continues to grow. In the operation of a laundry business, a steam iron is one of the important equipment that plays a role in increasing the efficiency and quality of ironing results. However, conventional steam irons still have several obstacles, such as a fairly long heating time and the need for continuous supervision. To overcome these problems, innovations in steam iron boiler technology continue to be developed to increase the efficiency, practicality, and sustainability of the ironing system. One interesting innovation is the design of an automatic steam iron boiler based on used freon cylinders equipped with an automatic control system. This study aims to design and implement an automatic steam iron boiler system that is able to regulate the water filling process and control steam pressure more efficiently using a 12 Volt relay module. The use of used freon cylinders as the main component in the design of this boiler has several advantages. In addition to reducing industrial waste that has the potential to pollute the environment, the use of used freon cylinders also offers an alternative material that is strong and resistant to high pressure. With the automatic control system, this boiler does not require full supervision from the operator, thereby increasing comfort and work efficiency. The test results show that the automatic control system can operate well, producing steam with a pressure of 34 Psi and a stable temperature of 138 °C and optimizing energy use.
