This research was conducted to find out what factors cause work accidents and how to prevent work accidents. This research was carried out at a manufacturing company engaged in making peanut bread on a home industry scale. The data used is data obtained during the research, such as the number of work accidents, number of working hours, number of hours lost by employees and types of work accidents during the production process.
The type of research carried out is qualitative research. Quantitative research is defined as part of a series of systematic investigations of phenomena by collecting data to then be measured using mathematical or computational statistical techniques. The primary data used is data obtained during the research, such as the number of work accidents, number of working hours, number of hours lost by employees and types of work accidents during the production process. Secondary data obtained from the company is in the form of company documentation. The method used in this research is the FTA method to analyze possible sources of risk before failure occurs. And HIRARC will be the initial stage in determining what causes work accidents and how dangerous these work accidents are.
The results of measuring the frequency of work accidents show that in 2022 the frequency will be 7.49 and in 2023 the frequency will be 5.70. The results of the severity of work accidents in 2022 will be 5.99 and in 2023 it will be
4.56. This means that the level of work severity is decreasing from year to year and will be followed by an increase in employee work productivity.
