The use of machines and work tools that support the production process has the potential to cause noise. Noise is the occurrence of unwanted sound that interferes with or endangers health. Noise in the workplace is a hazard that has the risk of causing health impacts for workers. Exposed workers Noise and not resolved can cause non-auditory disturbances in the form of physiological disorders, psychological disorders, and communication disorders.
The purpose of this study is to control noise in order to improve occupational safety and health and anticipate work accidents where the analysis design of this study uses primary data in the form of noise levels and interviews.
The results of data processing indicate that the machine has a noise level that exposes employees during working hours exceeding the threshold value, where the noise level is 89.7 dB at the Sterilizer station, 89.6 dB at the Thresser station, while the highest noise level is at Press station 92.3 dB. With noise levels that exceed the threshold value, noise control is carried out using personal protective equipment (PPE) for each employee.
