Optimization of the drip irrigation system can be done by adjusting the number of drips installed in the drip irrigation system. The drip irrigation method currently applied still uses a 6 mm drip so that blockages often occur, the distribution of water is uneven to the tip of the drip, and it allows for a relatively expensive price. This study aims to determine the ideal number of drips used in the drip irrigation system in the Lama Village and is useful as information on the use of agricultural land in the Lama Village. The study was conducted from April to August 2022 and included several methods, including: 1) the design stage using SketchUp software; 2) the material preparation stage and manufacture of drip channels using a 1 ½ inch main pipe and a ½ inch dividing pipe with 12 points divider; and 3) tool testing in the form of measuring discharge to determine the efficiency of the number of drips used. Based on the results of the analysis, the more open drips cause a decrease in the value of water discharge and flow velocity caused by energy loss. To maintain a constant flow consistency, the drip holes are only needed up to the 7th hole; if all 12 holes are open, there will be a drastic decrease in water discharge and flow velocity due to energy loss.
