Rice production has not been able to meet the needs of the Indonesian people due to several obstacles which then have an impact on decreasing productivity. Efficient agricultural products will reduce production costs incurred by farmers. This will improve the welfare of the farmer. According to BPS data, rice production has not been optimal due to the many obstacles in cultivation such as pests, especially bird pests. By carrying out various efforts to control bird pests, one of which is by using an Arduino-based automatic bird pest repellent using a PIR (Passive Infra Red) sensor. This tool works by detecting the presence of birds through a PIR sensor and then emitting a bird repellent sound or the sound of a bird predator. This research aims to design, build and test the performance of an Arduino- based automatic bird pest repellent using a PIR sensor. This tool consists of several main components, namely a solar panel, PIR sensor, Arduino Uno, ISD1820 module, mini amplifier kit, speaker and servo motor. The PIR sensor detects the presence of birds and sends a signal to the Arduino Uno, the Arduino Uno then processes the signal and gives commands to the isd1820 module which is passed to the mini amplifier kit to the speaker to produce bird repellent sounds and the servo motor to make rotating movements of the tool parts that resemble bird predators. This tool is also equipped with a solar panel for its energy source, so it can be used in places where there is no electricity source. With careful design and implementation, this automatic bird pest repellent tool can help farmers reduce losses caused by bird pests effectively and efficiently.
