PT INALUM Power Plant is a company that builds and operates a hydropower plant consisting of Siguragura (SGP) and Tangga (TNP) power stations. So that requires PT INALUM Power Plant to continue to optimize its maintenance policy. Even though maintenance activities have been carried out, the frequency of damage to each unit still occurs frequently, resulting in a unit trip (termination) namely a forced outage, which affects the amount of downtime. To overcome this problem, in this study the method used to determine the performance of the power plant is using the Generating Availability Data System (GADS), then the method used to determine the reliability and rate of damage is using an exponential distribution. Meanwhile, to evaluate the cause of damage to the turbine & generator using FMEA analysis. The conclusion in this study is that the highest downtime value in the Siguragura hydropower plant occurs in the T/Ge1 unit of 2.46% and in the Tangga hydropower plant it occurs in the T/Ge3 unit of 2.80%. Appropriate evaluation measures on the performance of hydroelectric power plants are performing maintenance with the type of periodical maintenance and preventive maintenance. Especially T/Ge1 PLTA Siguragura on the air cooler & metal cooling tube component and T/Ge3 PLTA Tangga on the MTR Bushing component. The right maintenance strategy to minimize forced outage is to review the company's planned maintenance on the air cooler & metal cooling tube for routine flushing for 35,287 hours (per ±1 day) or 70.574 hours (±3 days). In MTR Bushing, routine repairs are carried out for 51.306 hours (per ±2 days) or 102.612 hours (±4 days).
