The road is a transportation infrastructure that is built and planned as well as possible so that the road can be used within a predetermined planning period. So to find out the density of the soil so that it can determine the thickness of the road pavement layer by carrying out the Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) test, the purpose of this study is to find out the comparison of the carrying capacity of subgrade soil between fields with carrying capacity analysis on Jalan Tandem Hilir - Simpang Beringin Regency Deli Serdang North Sumatra used the 2010 Bina Marga method, after analyzing the bearing capacity of the basic foundation , the California Bearing Ration (CBR) value was obtained , then a comparison of field analysis and analysis found that the field analysis had a greater value (CBR- 1 3.20 % ), (CBR-2 6.14 %), (CBR-3 4.95 %), (CBR-4 5.62 %). The analysis
results of the CBR-1 3 .19 %), (CBR-2 6.13 %), (CBR-3 4.93 %), (CBR-4 5.62
%). And the results of the calculation of the pavement layer thickness have a larger value in the field analysis of (AC – WC = 4 cm) and (AC – BC = 6 cm) and the pavement layer thickness analysis is smaller by (AC – WC = 3.98 cm = 4 cm) and (AC – BC = 5.95 cm = 6 cm).
