The construction of the Armed- Gerat House Intersection Road, Biru-Biru District, Deli Serdang Regency, applies scheduling using the S Curve method, in which the linkages between critical activities cannot be known so that the activities that are prioritized and cannot be carried out late in the project cannot be visible and there is no efficient time to be able to complete the project.
Therefore the PDM and PERT methods are applied, so that project scheduling planning can determine the interrelationships between activities, determine which activities need to be considered (critical activities), determine the probability of completion of all project work. The purpose of this research is to find out how the PDM and PERT methods are applied in the scheduling of road construction projects that initially used the S-Curve method in their scheduling so as to produce a time schedule with the right work duration and have a high probability of success.
From the results of the planner's calculations on the Intersection Road Development project. Armed - Gerat House, Biru-Biru District, Deli Serdang Regency, using the PDM method used by researchers, the overall duration of project activities is 128 working days, the same as the duration of the planner's S Curve with a critical path, namely activities A-D-E-E3-E1-E2-D1-G -A1. Whereas using the PERT method, the results show that the probability of successful completion of the project with a duration of 128 days is only 70%, with the PERT method, an efficient time for project completion is obtained, namely 132 days which has a probability of 99.63% with the critical path of activities A-D-E-E3-G- A1.
