The increasing number of high-rise buildings being constructed in the modern era underscores the importance of accurate and comprehensive structural calculations in accordance with applicable regulations, particularly the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). It is crucial to ensure that the buildings to be constructed are safe from any potential structural failures and that the most efficient reinforcements are used. In the project for the Irian Supermarket Setia Budi Medan Building, an analysis of the structural safety level of the floor slab according to SNI 2847-2019, as well as the most efficient reinforcement that can be used for the floor slab structure of the Irian Supermarket Setia Budi Medan Building, is required. The problem formulation discussed is the safety level of the building structure and the most efficient reinforcement that can be used. The research method used is a case study method where field data and additional data are collected and processed according to SNI 2847-2019. Reinforcement efficiency is achieved by increasing the distance between reinforcements. The results are as follows: the required As value: 652.4 mm2 < used As: 670.4 mm2 for flexural reinforcement (2Ø8-150) and required As: 455.4 mm2 < used As: 502.4 mm2 for shear reinforcement (2Ø8-200), indicating that the reinforcement used is safe. However, the total deflection: 16.6 mm > allowable deflection: 6.68 mm, and ϕVc: 58650 N/mm > Vu: 32823.07 N/mm, indicating that the slab thickness of 120 mm is safe. Nevertheless, reinforcement efficiency cannot be achieved because the required As value: 652.4 mm2 > used As: 455.4 mm2 for flexural reinforcement (2Ø8-200) and required As: 455.4 mm2 > used As: 401.92 mm2 for shear reinforcement (2Ø8-250), thus reinforcement efficiency cannot be achieved.
