| dc.description.abstract | Along with the development of technological advances, the construction sector has also experienced quite rapid development. Implementation methods in the world of construction are starting to shift from conventional methods to more modern methods, one of which is the method of implementing scaffolding work. Basically, both methods have the same function and way of working, namely as a temporary structure used to support loads, people and materials in construction work, but because the two methods have different materials, it comes to comparing the costs of using the two methods. Scaffolding with conventional methods, namely from bamboo and modern scaffolding methods, namely from iron/steel materials. This comparison was carried out by collecting secondary data from the planners and implementers including working drawings and then calculating the costs required between scaffolding made from bamboo and scaffolding made from iron/steel. From the calculation results, it was found that scaffolding made of bamboo material was superior in terms of cost but took quite a long time to construct, while scaffolding made of iron/steel material was superior in terms of construction which took relatively less time but required large costs to implement.
