dc.description.abstract Dialect or commonly referred to as an accent, is the main element in the formation of a society's character. The personality of a society can be seen from the dialect they use, and with dialect we also know the identity of a tribe, a person's nationality. Dialect is an important element that must be learned after language if one wants to be part of a society, just as in Indonesia, which has many tribes with various languages ​​and their respective accents. In Japan, there are accents that vary in each region. Among all the accents in Japan, Kansai dialect is the most popular in Japan, because this dialect is considered the most slang and not rigid, even this Kansai dialect is well known to foreign countries, besides that it is used for daily interaction by 22 million people more populated. Kansai dialect is also widely used in anime, songs or comedic art called manzai. It should also be noted that in the Kansai dialect there are sub-dialects that exist in each region incorporated in the Kansai region, and the Kansai region consists of 7 major provinces within it. People who live in the Kansai region tend to be more friendly and sociable than people who live in capital areas like Tokyo. Therefore, it is important to learn the Kansai dialect, because apart from the dialect there are many interesting things to be found in Kansai.en_US
