dc.description.abstract Every human being must learn to speak a language in their lifetime. The emergence of linguistic style variants is caused by the rapid growth of communication technology. Because of the evolution of this language, the language styles utilized by successive generations differ. Each generation will have its own unique language style. The purpose of this study was to find some types of and why it still us. Kridalaksana stated that language that according to social relations with the speaker are divided into a formal languages and informal languages. This research uses qualitative methods. Data collected through observation and analysis. This study took data from conversations in a film called Malam Minggu Miko for analysis. The film uses informal language. The film uses informal language. The results showed that: 1) Researcher found five types of informal language types used in the film. 2) Researcher found the reason why Malam Minggu Miko movie use informal Indonesian language in their dialogue. As a suggestion, researcher hope that research on informal languages can be carried out on other types of literary works to enrich the knowledge of sociocultureen_US
