The building is one of the important elements in terms of the development of an area. In the construction of a building must pay attention to matters relating to the condition of the surrounding environment. The Talun Kenas Hall building project is one of the projects that uses reinforced concrete as the main structure. In particular, the main beam structure of the project has a much different span variation. The longest span on the main beam has a length of 12 m. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out planning in accordance with the function of the building and the area to be built and must calculate how much material is needed. The problem in this study is how to design safely in planning beams with a span of 12 m without the help of column structures. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the design of the longitudinal beam structure in buildings and compare the results of the evaluation with the initial planning of the design of the longitudinal beam structure in the Aula Building of the Satu Hati Talun Kenas Foundation. In this study the method used is the finite element method in the SAP 2000 software to obtain the stress forces that occur in the beam and to facilitate the analysis of reinforcement in the beam which will be carried out using the SNI 2847-2013 analysis method with the help of Ms.Excel. From the results of this study there are differences in the design of reinforcement placement and the amount of reinforcement. Where is the result of the calculation of the results of the evaluation of the beam analysis the amount of tensile reinforcement (support) 9 D 16 and compression reinforcement (field) 7 D 16 and stirrup reinforcement D 10-200 there is a difference in compression reinforcement (field) and stirrups where the project is for support reinforcement 8 D 16 then stirrups D 10-150..
