The drainage system is one of the infrastructures that needs attention to reduce excess water caused by rain resulting in puddles. Therefore, we will conduct an assessment of one of the areas where flooding often occurs in Marendal Pasar VII, Jalan Mekati, Patumbak District, Deli Serdang Regency. The method used in this research is the mononobe method. This research was carried out by calculating the capacity of the drainage channel, then the results obtained were compared with the planned discharge obtained. From the results of the drainage channel evaluation obtained, it was found that the four existing channels were unable to accommodate the planned discharge. So it is necessary to re-plan the existing channel by adding the width and height of the channel, so the re-planned discharge is obtained at = 4,045 m3/sec which is greater than the planned flood discharge = 1,994 m3/sec. So it can be concluded that the replanning capacity is safe to use.
