Automation technology for control systems and microcontrollers is designed to help humans in their daily lives, making it easier for them to regulate the humidity in their environment to an optimal level. Maintaining the appropriate humidity in a room is crucial to avoid irritation caused by dry air, such as dry skin, chapped lips, colds, and sore throats. Therefore, automated technology has been created that can automatically control the humidity in a room using a mist maker as an air humidifier in enclosed spaces. This research develops an automatic room humidifier system based on the NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller. The DHT11 sensor and water level sensor are used to read the output value of the sensor variable, which is displayed through an Arduino IOT remote when the ESP8266 is connected to the internet via a WiFi network. If the DHT11 sensor detects humidity in the air within the range of 45% to 55%, the air humidifier will automatically turn on, and if the humidity level is optimal, the device will automatically turn off.
