Contraception is a method or method that aims to prevent fertilization so that pregnancy does not occur. There are quite a lot of problems currently occurring among couples of childbearing age, while population growth is not balanced with employment growth, so couples of childbearing age should be familiar with contraceptives for measures or efforts to prevent pregnancy and the distance between the first child and the next. Currently there are many tools, methods and types of contraception. Based on this problem, efforts need to be made to solve the problem. So the author wants to solve the problem that occurs, namely building a decision support system to help family planning program participants in choosing contraceptives. In designing the system the author applies methods to obtain maximum output results. The method used by the author is the Profile Matching (PM) method, which is a decision-making mechanism that assumes that there is a minimum level that must be met or exceeded. The results of this research reached several important findings in the development of a decision support system for choosing contraceptives in the context of family planning programs. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to reducing the number of unintended pregnancies, increasing public understanding of contraceptive methods, as well as providing greater control to individuals in their family planning, supporting the goals of effective family planning programs.
