Tiga Binanga District is one of the sub-districts in Karo Regency, North Sumatra Province which is one of the largest corn producing areas in Karo Regency.With a total area of
160.38 km2 and on February 24, 2021 it was recorded to have a population of 20,346 people and a density of 127 people / km2. Making the subdistrict one of the sub-districts that are quite densely populated. Of the many activities carried out in Tigabinanga, social aid program distribution activities are activities that are often carried out to help the community. Social aid program distribution activities are increasingly carried out because many communities are affected by the Covid 19 Virus outbreak. The development of technology today causes the process of storing file data to be retrieved and replace the contents of the file data with fake data by irresponsible people or groups, therefore security is needed in the storage of data and the confidentiality of such data. One way that can be used to overcome this is to use cryptographic techniques. In dealing with the problem of leaked information that will be stored, a data security application is needed that can secure the file data owned. With AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) Algorithm 128, this application is built with a web-based PHP programming language. By optimizing the AES 128 algorithm in encrypting the data of the Tigabinanga sub-district social aid file, the web is prepared to secure the confidentiality of the data on the social aid file in the Tigabinanga sub-district from information leakage or data theft by others. After the encryption process has been carried out, it will output an output that certainly cannot be read or cannot be reopened by irresponsible parties.
