dc.description.abstract The problem that farmers still face when harvesting is that they have to close the palm fruit together before picking it. If the oil palm plantation is very large, it must be done by several people and it will take a long time. To overcome this problem, an IoT-based monitoring system can be made. Generally, the level of maturity of the palm fruit can be determined from the color. By installing a color sensor on each palm tree and a controller for remote communication, farmers or plantation owners can integrate them remotely at any time. If the fruit is ripe the system will send a message via Telegram chat. To realize the system, an internet network controller is needed, namely MCU nodes, color sensors and internet hotspots. The sensor reads the color up close and converts it into digital data which is then processed by the MCU microcontroller node. The microcontroller identifies the fruit and sends a message according to the conditions. With this system is expected to facilitate the work of farmers when harvesting.
