Augmented Reality (AR) has developed rapidly in various fields, including education promotion. This research discusses the development and implementation of Markerless Augmented Reality applications as a means of campus promotion which aims to design, develop, and test the effectiveness of AR (markerless) applications in promoting campus information to prospective students and the general public. Augmented Reality technology in building layout applications and the room on the Harapan University Medan campus is an application that uses the markerless user defined target method to bring up 3D augmented reality objects on the Harapan University Medan campus environment. The results of this study are an AR application that can be downloaded and accessed via a mobile device and has been tested using the blackbox method whose main focus is testing application functionality without paying attention to the details of its internal implementation. This application provides an interactive visual experience for users in accessing promotional information. This application runs on the Android operating system, so it can be more easily accessed by all users.
