dc.description.abstract The case study of this bridge is on Jalan Mangaan VIII which is located in the city of Medan, which is the third largest metropolitan city in Indonesia. Where vehicle activity is very dense caused by industrial areas and office areas. Before it was renovated, many accident victims were caused by the narrow traffic lanes on the bridge, the guard rails did not meet the standards in the bridge planning, the absence of sidewalks, the large number of factory vehicles passing by and the presence of crossroads. The advantage of voided slabs is that the implementation time is fast and easy. The disadvantage of voided slabs is that part of the surface layer of the bridge floor peels off resulting in the formation of longitudinal grooves on the surface of the bridge floor which can endanger two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicle drivers. This research was carried out by the large number of factory vehicle activities crossing the bridge with a large tonnage capacity. The conclusion is based on the evaluation results on the SAP2000 software showing a yellow color meaning that the voided slab bridge floor is still able to withstand the loads that occur, the stress on the prestressed tensile reinforcement requires a total of 5 tendons with each tendon consisting of 12 strands with a diameter of 12.70 mm and It is suggested that in the results of the evaluation of the bridge deck structure, reinforcement is needed, namely by the external prestressing reinforcement method so that the stress on the prestressed tensile reinforcement is able to withstand the existing loads, after the renovation of the bridge construction is carried out, periodic supervision is needed to determine the strength of the bridge structure.
