A wheelchair is a device used to improve mobility for people who have disabilities, such as people with physical disabilities (especially those with leg disabilities). The wheelchairs used by patients with disabilities are currently not ergonomic because patients are uncomfortable using them and they still cause complaints of body pain. The purpose of this research is to design wheelchairs that are suitable for disabled patients, especially for bathroom activities. The method, which is carried out using the EFD method, is used to identify product technicalities based on user requirements by adding a new relationship between consumer desires and the ergonomic aspects of the product. The results showed that the design variables for ergonomic wheelchairs were effective, comfortable, safe, healthy, and efficient (ENASE) variables, based on consumer needs, supporting facilities in wheelchairs were added, such as soap dispensers, toilet bowls, bedpans, curtains, water tube (rinsing water container) and bags of goods/documents.
