The formation of small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to raise free-range laying hens (laying hens) in Gunung Meriah village aims to improve community welfare. This research focuses on conducting a business feasibility analysis, taking into account various aspects such as legal, social and cultural, market and marketing, technical and technological, and financial aspects. Data collection for analysis was carried out through observation and interviews. The results of the feasibility analysis stated that the chicken farming business. Free-range laying eggs in Gunung Meriah Village, Gunung Meriah District, Deli Serdang Regency is suitable for every aspect that has been considered. Through the financial aspect, it is known that in the first year the business experienced a loss of Rp. 10,370,000,- with an R/ C ratio of 0.91. In the second year, the free-range chicken farming business experienced a profit of Rp. 115,540,000,- with an R/ C ratio of 1. In total, in two years the business generated a profit of Rp. 105,170,000,- with an R/ C ratio of 1.42, which means that the free-range chicken farming business carried out for 2 years is profitable. BEP analysis results on free-range chicken farming for production and sales of 73,543 eggs with total sales of Rp. 220,630,043,- and the length of time for BEP is 1 year 6 months. In the SWOT analysis of the free-range laying chicken farming business, it is in the first quadrant with the strategy implemented being an aggressive growth strategy. From the results of the research data, it can be concluded that the free-range laying chicken farming business in Gunung Meriah Village, Gunung Meriah District is feasible to run.
