dc.description.abstract In Indonesia the livestock sector plays an important role for economic growth, because the livestock sector is the driving force of development. The main problems faced by farmers are limited egg production and expensive electricity costs which affect farmers' income. The egg incubator designed for ornamental birds uses solar energy to save costs and is very environmentally friendly. This egg incubator has a power of 244 Wh for 24 hours and the current generated by the dc then the inverter converts the DC current to AC. To maximize the egg incubator, it is necessary to have a PLTS component and an egg incubator. The PLTS components installed are a 120 Wp solar panel to absorb sunlight and then convert it into electrical energy, a 10A solar charger controller to keep the battery from overcharging, a 12V/50Ah battery to store electrical power and a 500 W inverter to convert DC current into AC current. While the components installed in the egg incubator are the thermostat to control the temperature of the decorative chicken eggs which can be set at 37.5°C to turn on and 39°C to turn off the light power, a thermometer to find out the humidity in the decorative chicken eggs is around 52% -55%. , lighting 2 incandescent lamps with a total power of 10 watts, time delay relay to set the time for the stepper motor to move the egg rack for 1 minute every 3 hours and this tool is able to accommodate 50 eggs for 20-21 days. The research method used is solar panels absorb heat from the sun and then convert it into electrical energy and give current to the egg incubator. This egg incubator has a success rate of 90% and a failure rate of 10%. For testing the system has an average error sensor of 0.019°C and 0.01%.
