In the construction of construction projects, there are still many inappropriate planning procedures, which may be due to inappropriate planning procedures that can result in the failure of a project, or what often occurs in inappropriate planning is delays in the project implementation process. In this fierce competition in the service industry, timely project completion is a priority for these service providers. Time duration planning using the CPM (Critical Path Method) method is a recommendation from many other scheduling methods. Because the calculation of the duration is very detailed, it breaks down activities or describes work items, so that you can find out the duration of each work carried out. In this study the authors rescheduled the work item Preprocessed Building Construction (steel structure) on the Waste TPS Facility and Infrastructure Development project, at PT. Putra Kuala Tanjung uses the CPM method. In the research that has been done the author describes or breaks down the work items so that the calculation of the duration is more detailed, then proceeds to the forward calculation and backward calculation in order to obtain the duration for each work activity, then calculates the total float for get a grace period on work activities, so that later they can determine which work activities are critical jobs or critical paths. In calculating the duration after breaking the activities, the duration is 252 working days, after analyzing using the CPM method, the duration is 156 days, which means that it has 96 days of time difference from the initial duration, also critical activities are obtained in activities A, B, D, F, H, I, J, L.
