dc.description.abstract The aim of this research is to create an application that utilizes augmented reality technology to help develop canoe rowing tourism in the Silau Laut sub-district. Augmented reality is a technology that is able to combine two-dimensional or three-dimensional virtual objects into a real world environment and then project them in real life. In this research, Vuforia was also used as a software developer for augmented reality, the application that was built was an application for Android. From the results of this research, the researcher produced an Android-based application that can display 3D objects when scanned using several stages such as installing the application provided by the author, then scanning a marker on a flat surface and producing a 3D object in the Augmented Reality Paddling Sampan Tourism application.
