dc.description.abstract The 2D animation design aims to educate students aged up to 18 years who still have minimal knowledge about the dangers of volcanic eruptions. Volcanoes are one of the dangerous disasters that many people fear, therefore there is a need for education to save oneself if a disaster occurs. This research was created with the aim of providing education that students can receive in a more interesting way. This education is useful for preparing for volcanic eruptions. This 2D animation was created using the 2D Hybrid Animation technique, this technique is a technique that combines hand-drawn images on paper, which are scanned and transferred to a computer, then converted into digital images. Using the 2D hybrid animation technique can help animate graphics, as well as in large sizes, quickly and is able to work on a number of frames in sequence. This animation is made with fun, so that this animation can be more easily understood by students. The resulting 2D animated video can educate students up to 18 years old who still have little knowledge about the dangers of an active volcano in Indonesia. This animation can provide a learning experience that is easier to understand. Keyword : 2D Animation, Volcano, 2D Hybrid Animation, Education, Eruption en_US
