dc.description.abstract Ethics in communication is an inseparable part of communication. With good ethics, communication can take place smoothly and well conveyed. Communication etiquette in Japanese is called aizuchi. Auzuchi is a response, response, or insertion made in the middle of a conversation with the other person. Aizuchi is also an expression used during a conversation. Aizuchi is used as an indicator that the interlocutor listens to the speaker well and is considered a form of politeness in speaking. Aizuchi has 4 forms namely aizuchishi, kurikaeshi, iikae and sonata. Aizuchi has a function that is a sign of hearing, a sign of understanding, a sign of agreement or agreement, a sign of refusal, and an expression of feelings. Writing this final paper discusses the use of aizuchi in Japanese based on situations when speaking formal, informal, and foreign speakers. The purpose of writing this final paper is to know and understand the meaning of aizuchi, various forms, functions, and know the use of aizuchi. This final paper uses the library method which collects data through scientific books, research reports, scientific essays, encyclopedias, websites and other written sources such as both printed and electronic.
