dc.description.abstract The average livelihood in Indonesia is as a farmer. According to the Minister of Agriculture Limpo, the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in the addition of 8 million farmers. While all economic activity declined, agriculture actually experienced an increase. The important role of agricultural commodities, especially plantations, in the national economy has become one of the largest contributors to the country's foreign exchange from plantation products, both in the form of raw materials and processed products. In the world of agriculture, there is a need to sort or sort fruit, one of which is apples and oranges. The purpose of the sorting process is to determine the classification of similar commodities based on their quality. This design uses Arduino Uno 328 which functions as a processor for input signals from proximity sensors, color sensors and ultrasonic sensors. The output is LCD. The proximity sensor functions to detect the presence of apples and oranges. The color sensor detects the color of apples and oranges. The ultrasonic sensor functions to differentiate the size of apples and oranges. The servo motor functions as a conveyor drive. The LCD functions to display data on apples and oranges, size and color. The working principle of this automatic sorting tool for apples and oranges is a proximity sensor that detects whether apples and oranges are present or not on the conveyor, then the data is sent to the Arduino Uno 328 and the data will be displayed on the LCD. The color sensor will detect the color of apples and oranges. Data from the color of apples and oranges is also sent to the Arduino Uno 328 and will be displayed on the LCD. For size data on apples and oranges, it is detected by an ultrasonic sensor. Data on the size of apples and oranges is also sent to the LCD. The servo motor will move the conveyor, so that the apples and oranges can move to the place provided according to a large place or a small place. Test results on the proximity sensor showed results of 1 cm to 5 cm. Test results on the ultrasonic sensor showed results of 3.2 cm to 10.4 cm.
