The introduction of national heroes is an important part of history education and national character building. However, conventional learning methods often lack the interest of the younger generation, especially in this digital era. This research develops an augmented reality (AR) application for the introduction of Indonesian national heroes, by combining the narrative of the AR Sumatran Heroes storybook, Augmented Reality, and the concept of virtual cinema, it is hoped that an innovative, interactive, and effective learning method can be created. Which aims to modernize history learning with interactive technology. The methodology used using UML includes the design and implementation of applications that allow users to scan hero images to display 3D digital information. Seeing this potential, the development of AR applications for the introduction of national hero figures through storybooks is relevant and innovative. This application is expected to bridge the gap between students' interest in learning and the importance of understanding national history, while utilizing the latest technology to improve the quality of education.
